ABOUT MATT
Good development starts with an honest conversation.
I help leaders make sense of where they are—and do something useful with what they learn.

I’m Matt Love.
For approximately 15 years, I’ve worked in talent development, leadership development, and recruiting. That work has included assessing leaders, coaching individuals, developing leadership systems, and building scalable development processes.
My experience spans organizational leadership, strategic planning, and people development. My background in interpersonal and organizational communication at UNC shapes how I think about leadership: the way we listen, communicate, and understand one another matters.
I currently serve as Multiplication Director at Summit Collaborative. I’ve designed and implemented leadership assessment and development processes, including thoughtful AI-enabled tools that support trained assessors.
This coaching practice is independent. It is separate from my professional role and is not sponsored or endorsed by Summit Collaborative.
HOW I THINK ABOUT GROWTH
Insight is a beginning.
Practice makes it useful.
Leaders grow when they face reality, identify meaningful development gaps, and practice new behaviors with feedback and support. An assessment can help you see. A conversation can help you understand. Neither replaces the work of trying something different.
My role is to help you identify that work, keep it grounded in your real responsibilities, and reflect honestly on what happens. We’ll look for progress you can describe in specific behaviors, rather than an idealized version of who a leader should be.
A GOOD PLACE TO BEGIN
Let’s talk about where
you want to grow.
